How to use it
How to create a WhatsApp click-to-chat link
Enter your WhatsApp business number — any common Pakistani format works; it is checked and normalised automatically.
Type the message you want pre-filled when someone opens the chat: a greeting, an order code, or a question.
Copy the link, or open it in a new tab to test it.
Turn on the QR code to get a scannable version for a poster, receipt or storefront sticker — download it as a PNG, or print it with a caption.
The link only pre-fills a message; it never sends anything by itself, and nothing you type here is uploaded — the link and QR code are both built in your browser.
Where to get bulk click-to-chat or WhatsApp API sending
This generator makes one link at a time, for a single number. If you need to message many customers automatically, or reply from a shared inbox, weigh your options against your own volume and budget: a WhatsApp Business API partner, your own integration built directly on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, or WaSMS (run by the same team as this site), which sends SMS and WhatsApp from one dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between wa.me and api.whatsapp.com/send links?
Both open a WhatsApp chat with a pre-filled message; wa.me/<number> is the short form WhatsApp promotes today, while api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=<number>&text=<message> is the older, more explicit form some older guides and tools still use. They behave the same way for the person clicking them. This tool generates the wa.me form and shows the equivalent api.whatsapp.com link alongside it.
Why does my message need to be encoded, and what does %20 mean?
A link's text cannot contain raw spaces, line breaks or punctuation like & or #, because those characters have a special meaning inside a URL. Encoding replaces them with a percent sign and a code, %20 for a space, %0A for a line break, so WhatsApp reads your message exactly as you typed it. This tool does that encoding for you automatically.
Does the QR code work without an internet connection to generate it?
Yes. The QR code is drawn entirely in your browser from the link text; nothing is sent to a server to generate it, and no tracking pixel is embedded in it. It only needs a connection later, when someone scans it and their phone opens the wa.me link to start the WhatsApp chat.
Can I use this for a landline or a number outside Pakistan?
This tool builds links for Pakistani mobile numbers; that is a scope choice, not a WhatsApp limitation — WhatsApp Business supports landlines too (verified by an automated voice call instead of SMS), and international numbers are obviously on WhatsApp. For any other WhatsApp number, build the link directly as wa.me/<full international number>, digits only, no plus sign or leading zero.
