Total: PKR 0.00
PKR 0.00 per recipient
How to use it
How to estimate your SMS campaign cost
Enter your message, or the number of segments directly — it carries over automatically if you came here from the character counter.
Enter how many recipients you are sending to.
Enter the price per segment your own provider quotes you, and pick PKR or USD.
Add a tax percentage if your invoice includes one.
Read the total: segments × recipients × rate, plus tax, and the cost per recipient.
This tool has no built-in price, because bulk SMS rates in Pakistan vary by provider, route, volume tier and time — a hard-coded number would mislead you the moment it went out of date. Use the rate on your own quote or invoice.
Where to get bulk SMS pricing
Get quotes from a few licensed providers before you commit: ask each for their per-segment rate at your expected volume, and whether Unicode (Urdu) messages cost more. Options include your mobile operator's own bulk SMS desk, a dedicated SMS aggregator, and WaSMS (run by the same team as this site), which sends SMS and WhatsApp from one dashboard. Check each against the criteria above before choosing.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't this tool show a default price per SMS?
Bulk SMS prices vary a lot between providers, routes and volume tiers, and change over time, so a built-in default would quickly go stale or mislead you. Enter the rate your own provider actually quotes you per segment, in PKR or USD, and this tool does the multiplication — segments times recipients times your rate, plus any tax percentage you add — so the total always matches your real invoice.
What's a 'segment' and why does it matter for cost?
A single-part message holds up to 160 characters (70 for Unicode); providers bill per segment, not per SMS. Once a message needs more than one part, each part holds fewer characters — 153 (67 for Unicode) — because a small header is needed to link the parts back together. A 300-character English message is 2 segments, not 1, so it costs twice as much to send to each recipient. This tool reads your message's segment count directly from the character counter, so the cost estimate always matches what a real send would use.
Does adding tax change how many segments I'm billed for?
No. Tax is applied to the money total, not to how your message is split into segments, since that split only depends on its length and encoding. This tool adds your tax percentage on top of the segment cost, segments times recipients times rate, to show the number you would actually pay, but it never changes the segment count itself.
Can I use this to estimate a WhatsApp campaign instead?
Not with this tool. Since 1 July 2025, WhatsApp Business API pricing works differently, charging per delivered template message — marketing, utility or authentication — rather than per 160-character segment, and rates vary by country; a service reply or an in-window utility template is free. Use the SMS vs WhatsApp comparison tool instead, which has its own calculator for entering WhatsApp's per-template rates alongside SMS segment pricing.
